FRE EmerAgency Konsult @ Minute Man Monument

In his book Electronic Monuments, Gregory L. Ulmer describes commemoration as a fundamental experience, joining individual and collective identity. He proposes that the Internet makes it possible for monumentality to become a site of self-knowledge, one that holds the promise of bringing citizens back into the political equation.

On October 20, 2013, Ulmer visited the Minute Man Memorial in Concord Massachusetts with John Craig Freeman and Loudon Stearns, where he theorized an Electronic Monument acknowledging the the connection between the national sacrifice of gunshot victims on behalf of the shared value of the right to bear arms enshrined in the U.S. Constitution.
